Who's used them? Thinking of getting custom tunes on my Ohlins RXf34 and Fox float (prob when winter is out of the way though). Be about £200 Inc a service on the forks which have developed a click on compression. Money well spent?

I have used them for servicing and tuning in the past. Was absolutely spot on. The tuning work he carried out on my X-fusion slants anfew years back turned them from a good fork to a great fork. Would absolutely use again however I have sprung on my doorstep now

Found them (is it James??) very helpful even without the definite promise of business.

Vowed to use their services when I need it on that basis

James is really good, he's serviced all of the hoppy household suspension over the last many years. Work is really well done and quick turnaround. I've had him custom tune things for me and it's made a huge significant difference, he has stock set ups but if you know what you want and can explain it to him then he can sort something to your specific requirements. It helps he's in town for me.

Has he moved to Shrewsbury now from bandit country?

Yeah but the new workshop is up Harlescott way so it's still fairly bandity.

James sorted a shock tune on my old SB66, brilliant job, did exactly what I wanted.

Can't recommend enough.

Nothing but positive comments for James. He serviced and got to work my old 55’s that no one else would touch. Not sure if he still does but after it had been serviced he’d put on the invoice all the settings for the fork to suit your weight bike and riding style. Made everything after that really simple

All good stuff then. I would usually use Grant at South Coast who is local enough and been great for me but as James is an approved Ohlins tuner I'm leaning that way. Will give him a call and see what he thinks. Cheers all

Another very happy customer here. Have had 2 shocks worked on recently, one was customer tuned to a new bike and the cane Creek db had a stroke and eye to eye change for a reasonable price. Been really happy with both and friends have been happy with work too.

Hmmm, might get the stroke on the shock lengthened slightly, think that gives close to 140mm travel

Good to see all the positive comments here already...

They're our "local" suspension specialist, and we send most of the stuff that we don't do in-house there. Always cracking service, extremely knowledgeable, and stuff comes back when scheduled, so can't fault them really.

great place for advice and servicing.

Spot on. Just a note, if you pay the extra for suspension settings, they dont set the suspension up. They just tell you where to put it. I found this out when my bike tried to kill me at Farmer Johns right after a rear shock service, no rebound at all. I just assumed they'd dial it in. other than that, spot on.

Mixed dealings I'll not use again.

RSF or TFT are my choice of suspension servicers.

Go on then bruneep, do tell.

For what it's worth I had an old set of Pikes Pushed by TFT years back. Damper bolt fell out first ride spilling the oil in the lowers everywhere. When I phoned up TF himself pretty much laughed it off with no hint of an apology so wouldn't use them again. But many people seem happy with them, you can't please all the people all the time.

I reckon I'll still give J-Tech a go considering the feedback is overwhelmingly positive

Great service from J-tech, and great after sales service too when I emailed him with loads of stupid questions about my new fork.

Plus he was one of the few places that services Bos shocks

Will definitely use again

Yeah but the new workshop is up Harlescott way so it's still fairly bandity.

On the plus side, the guy could probably do a roaring trade in Vauxhall Nova suspension work if he wanted.

Would definitely recommend J-tech. All work expertly and efficiently carried out. Always uses good materials (e.g.SKF seals) and is expert at tuning. Fox should have looked him up...

Oh, and Harlescott being bandit country? Not really. He's on a trading estate surrounded by a housing estate. All housing estates have their pockets.

Another yes here; he's serviced my stuff in the past and always done a great job. Very helpful over the phone too.

Only used J-Tech once but had great service. Really quick turnaround.
Also really helpful with a load of questions I threw at him before I decided which forks to get.

I went with TF tuned to lower my Ohlins to 140mm. Spoke to Grant who doesn’t deal with Ohlins & decided on TF, Greg who did the work was great plus he rides Ohlins on his bike which I feel he therefore knows about setup if he rides the same brand
