Deposit paid on a Niner, finally bought a schmancy SS29er from them (after a couple of years on a Gunner) and thinking I need a new helmutschmelmut to go with it instead of my roadie Giro that I have been using to date.

POD looks schmancy enough..

Opinions please and sizes (ie: are mediums really medium etc.)

Feel free to ponce me off..

No. POD = Big money to have big letters plastered all over everything.

Have a look at the Urge helmets if you want the bucket look. Look better, lighter, more comfortable and much more reasonable.... selling like hot cakes !

The Cromwell Protector Helmet is made from layers of laminated paper. The lamp uses calcium carbide and water, which react to produce acetelyne and provide a flame. In the 1930s the helmet was advertised at the price of three shillings, with the lamp at three pence extra.

Miss spelling POC twice gets you one of these: 🙄

All teh gearz, no eyed deerz.

I found the POC helmets really uncomfortable.

The armour on the other hand is awesome.

I have the VPD2 elbow and knee pads, they are super comfy and work very well. Broke my arms at the weekend I landed that hard but the elbow pads and knee pads did their job.
