This new one was only a few hundred quid, weighs almost nothing, not very fast, but is well secured against bike thievery.

Can a Krampus frame be built with normal 29" rims?

Yeah, you can use normal everyday 29er wheels. No weird offsets or axle widths.

Nice - that been done since last weekend?

Just discovered a split in the sidewall of my rear knard 🙁 which is annoying.
Going to have a go at mending it with dental floss and some rubber patches.
Might be new tyre time though......bah.

I'm growing more intrigued by this krampus after seeing they can actually be jumped, would be a fun bike!

"The handlebars are wrong" ... Sort of depends on where you stand. But it has very little effect on the handling.
