My DMR V12 Mg pedals.

They went into the cupboard under the stairs after they arrived, for the "winter build".

Despite several forensic searches,  I never saw them again...............until today.

It's been a while

Was there one half of a 12 speed shimano quick link with them?

I'm beginning to wonder if it's been abducted by aliens.

Funny you should say that.....

They were still in the aforementioned cupboard. My guess is, they moved to another reality/dimension, and then returned

I'm still missing my transformer toy that turned into a little flying saucer from about 35 years ago. Can you check your cupboard for it, please?

Chances are slim, but you never know!

Schrödinger's pedals. Until you opened the cupboard they were both lost and found.

I bought some very nice POC gloves in a sale last October, remember getting them home and thinking I put them in my box of gloves, hats, buffs etc in the garage.

Then couldn't find them. Did I really bring them home? Did they fall out of my bag on the way home?

I emptied the box onto the floor and went through it all, pairing up gloves, balling them up, got rid of old ones. No sign of them.

Week, months went by - I agonised because they were lovely gloves at a great price, and I hate 'wasting' stuff.

Then I had to go through the box again and found... A nice new pair of POC gloves balled up in a pair.

Relieved, happy, but what was I thinking when I balled them up ?!

I once lost a pair of trousers at a friend's pool party.

45 years later I still have no idea what happened to them. Please check your sheds and outhouses incase they wondered in and got trapped

This week I've found a headset, spacers, stem, chain and two unworn jerseys bought in 2022 and I can't remember buying any of them, I had to go through my emails to find out when I got them.

As a kid growing up in Newcastle a mate's dad lost a marble when it rolled down a gap between a couple of flagstones in the backyard back in the day.

Time passes and he eventually inherited the house from his parents. Idly musing one day he decides to retrieve his marble so lifts the flagstone to reveal a mineshaft. The street was evacuated until the ground was made safe.

He never got the marble back.

Beautiful.
I found a Garmin watch three years after I replaced it as permanently lost. Not an expensive one but still- eldest can have it for his marathon training. The other good news is I didn’t chuck the charge cradle.
