My god what a great ride I had this morning! I know the trails are all dry and stuff but I was up at the front of our group which is not normal at all 😀
I've gone from a 18" to a 16" and it feels just right, really flicky and faster than I'm used to.
Very happy bunny.

I went from steel 456 to ti too (Van Nicholas built 456) & chose to do the same, dropping from 18" to 16", so that reach more closely matched my full sus. Topped off with Van Nicholas ti post & it is impressively comfortable.

Yep, I reckon the steel 456 was comfier at slower speeds but the 456Ti better at higher speeds - still have the 456Ti as my only bike four years later.

What surprised me was the increase in speed compared to the steel frame - everything just seemed to be so much better today ....... apart from the lack of a rear brake would may have had an effect!
Maybe it was the weather/dry trails, the fact that I was looking forward to a great ride, changing from a 18 to a 16 or from steel to Ti (or maybe a mix of everything) but I hope it lasts.
