As per the title I'm looking at warm summer bike trips and listening to the Shop Assistants (althoug that's really a different thread). I've sort of narrowed things down to either Basque MTB or Ciclo Montana and was wondering if anyone has had experience of both.
I came to this thread to suggest Doug at BasqueMTB. Just come back from a week in the Pyrenees, we've had two previous trips to Basque coast, we're now kicking around the idea of the winter enduro.
I've never known anyone work so hard to make sure your holiday is the best it can be!
Go with Doug, I promise you'll not be disappointed.
Thanks, Doug does seem to get a lot of very positive reaction. I know these things are largely subjective, but would you recommend the Pyrenees or Basque as a first trip as both look pretty amazing!
Had a fantastic trip to the Italian Riviera this year and I'll definitely be returning, it's my new favourite place.

As Doug can't be in two places at once, have a look at when you want to go and pick the holiday he's running. If you're sun seeking, I guess that would put you at the Basque coast time if year.
Having said that, we had 5 days of 20? plus riding and one day of rain in the Pyrenees. Really not bad at all for the time of year.
Thanks chakaping, that's a really good read and certainly food for thought.
Onzadog, good point! I'm not especially seeking sun, just more than there is, and less rain than on the east coast of Scotland right now. 🙂 I really like the look of both but Basque is probably slightly edging it at the moment!!
