Another great day out on the trails above Finale for us.
Another 30 miles of amazing trails with Trails Adventure doing the guiding. This year we asked to be shown trails away from the usual runs and Mario has delivered every day.

Bit muddy and wanted to stay clean so took gravel bikes as ours have mud guards.

Last Ligurian ride this morning, now sat at Pisa airport waiting to fly home.

Go away you lot!
At the Golfie this afternoon, the weather was sunny with a cold stiff wind. Trails were riding really well, with only the odd puddle and muddy section. My new tyres were a revelation to my balding ones.

No riding tomorrow planned but will doing a longish gravel route in Aberfoyle on the Sunday with a few folk from my cycling club.
Already posted elsewhere...but I rode a local lap on a 100mm hardtail without a dropper in a place it's probably not suited to.
Slipped going up a rock step, fell down a gully got speared in my chest by my handlebars...not necessarily in that order. Later I managed to burp the front tyre to almost flat on an insignificant rock drop.
Aside from that it was a pleasant morning of rain, mud and horrible headwind.

@reeksy- good work 😉
@anorak- that looks familiar, whereabouts is it?
@everyone, thank you for the pics. Me and the pooch are off to Cwmyrhaedr tomorrow for a quick spin before meeting family for a pub lunch. With a bit of luck the weather will be fine for sitting outside, gazing at the hills.

Turns out I'm still not recovered from my virus. No energy on the climbs and vision went blurry at mile 5 so called it and came home.
Shame as it was looking glorious in the sun this morning!
Glorious gravel on the south downs.... hope you have the mud tires ready ha.....
^ There may be a bit of mud and slippiness but the sun is out and it’s a nice looking day here on the South Downs
Another 30 miles of amazing trails with Trails Adventure doing the guiding.
might need to get some details from you @tracey I'd like to get to Finale next year with the family.
Making the most of Essex….

Up early enough for this stunning morning

Shhusshhh.. never happened
A lovely ride out in warm autumn sunshine, we finished with a couple of pints sat outside the pub. I got home and out the bike away just as it started absolutely bucketing down. Perfect timing! 😀

An early start for us today with 35 miles and 1700m of descent on the trails above Finale on trails we haven't riden before. One more day before we move further on the coast to San Remo
@reeksy Mario the guide is the best we have used in the 9 years we have been comming here

Had a drop of rain locally
But it didn't stop the Bourneville Bread Basket Bun Run
100km of gravel in the New Forest sun - a welcome relief from the rest of the week!

Solo big day out yesterday from sheff to chinley and back on the train.

Another early start for us to make the most of our last day in Finale. Did a couple of the classic runs before heading further afield to ride some of the harder to reach stuff we hadn't ridden before.
Hard day out in the hills. Loads of miles, climbs and descents. The fun factor was off the scale.
Another great day out with Mario, our guide for the week from Trails Adventure

Greno and wharny sesh today. Bossed the two medium gaps at the top of Steel City (I'd only done the first one previously) and also the big drop at the bottom. Hit all the other doubles, tables etc well today also. Felt like I was riding well.
Video screen grab of me on't first gap

I just need to take my brain out for the big gap jump on the left fork at the bottom now and I've ridden it all. I hope the bloke who we saw nose case it is OK (went down hard on his shoulder and didn't look to happy)
Over the road on Wharncouver to finish

Afternoon play out on some new tracks being built here in Austria. Snow above 1700m so I stayed low.

Managed to get a ride in Friday evening, Saturdaylunchtime, a few hours at Twisted Oaks on Sunday morning, and also a test ride of a potential new bike Sunday evening. All before the mega downpours of last night. Good times!
Saturday was a cracking day to be out on a bike - I fear there won't be another day as dry & bright & warm this side of Xmas..

Just back from an actual weekend riding mountain bikes in the mountains! Stayed with a mate in the Lake District and did a couple of rides, including a visit to Black Sail YHA. Probably my last ride on my Stooge before it goes up for sale...

Gravel riding yesterday around Aberfoyle, cool to start with but was lovely once the sun came out.

Went on a (mainly road) ride on the Ripmo to get a feel for the lighter wheelset/Barzo's. Managed 46 miles (furthest I've been for ages) in a loop that took me up to the Blackdown Hills & back. Cracking weather on Saturday, (Sunday was stormy).

@poah, I used to hate riding through the Clyde Tunnel. Looks better light/brighter now than I remember.
@didnthurt, was that Friday? Saturday was similar but a bit cloudier with a couple of very light showers. Unusual mix of bikes on the climb with a gravel event on at the same time. Called it a day around 3ish as I was knackered after 36km/1600mtrs. Drove through heavy rain north of Peebles for a while, so a good call!
First Golfie on my new (to me) G1, lovely.

Found a little spot in the sun on Sunday afternoon where I could enjoy listening to a local folk group. It managed to take my mind off the truly awful climb back up towards Carron reservoir....for a little while at least.
@poah yeah, Friday afternoon. I'm not sure I'd want to pay to ride the gravel climbs at the Golfie, without even a chance to ride the trails. To each their own though.
Swinley, never seen the trails in such a terrible state of complete and utter neglect. Really really poor
