You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We were out in the East Peak. Blacca Woods and Houndskirk Moor. Conditions weren't the best but needed to get some more trails in before our next trip.
It's always good to be out there

Quick spin on the road after work last night, caught The Tower spearing the sun. Can I post a pic.......

Yes! I can... Woop woop
Do emojis work? ?
Haha, no!
Being a gentleman of leisure i went away in thevweek to catch the weather. North west Scotland inverpolly area

Went out for a quick tour of the moor above home for what might have been the last day of summer yesterday. A break from the norm and did most of it in Trail/Turbo

Some easy Greenway routes in the Ardennes for my broken body to ride on

Managed to get out Friday afternoon for possibly the last day of summer.

So far, Tesco's, I don't suppose that really counts...
A relatively local one for me.
Stung and brambled to death.
Nice though.

Looks like someone has fallen of the waggon up there.?
Couple of easy days for us with a normal Friday ride but taking twice the time it usually does due to a bit of trail maintenance and sunny nature appreciating.
Then a really chilled ride that ended at the brewery for more beers than planned today.
Still another 2000 meters in the bank though so keeping things rolling.
No riding for me, still waiting for the all clear for the docs on my shoulder, and also my hand, and also my other hand. So, marshalled at the SDA instead. Lovely day for standing on a hill watching a whole lot of people ride into the same tree.
Sending healing vibes. Keep positive.
It's just over 12 months since Kevin's accident. He now has 60% movement and 40% strength in his right arm and it's probably as good as its going to get. Both his eyes have now been sorted. At least he's back on the bike.
Darn sarf ,today has been all about fitting mud tyres and mudguards.
Quick spin on the Whippet replacement Scandal . Quite a few PRs without even trying. My third black Scandal, I'm taking the hint and keeping this one forever.
Dunkeld.
The sun came out.

Is that the new bike
(Possibly) the finest one-day gravel ride in the UK.
Loch Ericht

Lochan na h-Earba

For @tjagain

Venison burger. Really, really good venison burger (and essential hydration)

Last big climb out of Rannoch

Be thankful STW restricts me to 5 photos per post 🙂
Looks like someone has fallen of the waggon up there.?
Yeah, did 7 months to the day. August was full of festivals and holidays, so had a few bevvies. September through to Christmas was going to be dry, but didn't quite make it. Monday will start again. Tried to do the moderation part, couldn't do it, so has to be back to zero

Day one of our two day dry run for the trip from my house to Cape Wrath next year.
Staying in Glossop tonight, Hebden Bridge for the train home tomorrow.
Still loving the versatility of a new school hardtail.
Spent the day in my happy place. Got home and the long haired general told me I need to ride more.

Up High Street from Ings via Trout beck to pooley bridge Tough carry, muddy downhill, 30km 1100m of climbing/pushing. Cold and windy on top.

46km ride in the Peak on Friday, Cut Gate from Langsett, up to Lost Lad, Back Tor, Winston Tor, Ladybower descent, then back up to Slippery Stones and Cut Gate return. Weather started off a bit unpromising but soon improved, apart from the strong north-easterly that made it a bit tough going in places. Great day out.
EDIT ... Pics in the wrong order.
two day dry run
Possibly a bad choice of words, it’s pissing down in Glossop at the moment for day 2. ?
No riding for me this weekend unfortunately. But nevermind, did loads in the past week, and I also had an absolutely mint spontaneous trip up to the lakes Friday/Saturday with Mrs el_b walking/scrambling, swimming, (sort of) camping and paddle boarding.
Weather was epic! Made sweeter by the fact that it appears to be full autumn mode today as I sit drinking coffee in a nice dry house back in Leeds

Reeksy1 wanted to try an off piste track with a mate this morning so I offered to run him out 30 mins drive so they could have a ride...I was going to ride separately so as not to cramp their style.
First time I've ever forgotten my riding shoes so had to drive home collect them and have a somewhat truncated ride which meant no time for photos!
Ive been in Tollymore 2 days in a row. The trials are running perfectly - it’s the best conditions I’ve seen this year. 23 degrees and cloudless - best weekend of the year I think. Makes being back home more tolerable after a great week in Chatel last week.

Its a fabulous spot and some lovely gravel riding. Mixed emotions tho for me.
Just my local woods (Bourton Combe near Bristol) after a few weeks off riding as on holiday.
Picked up a new Vivid coil shock, so BC has got an ideal section of trail that has log drops to flat / few berms / couple of jumps and some rooty sections to repeat over and over. Actually didn’t take much tweaking at all to get some kind of reasonable setup - think it’s only got 5 or so clicks of adjustment on the hbo / lsc / rebound. Not touched the hsc at all yet. Might try a softer spring this week to see if I can get away with it.
Local woods were near enough as slippery as they get after the rain - getting stopped with a summer rear tyre on the steeper bits was a challenge.

Not ridden anywhere all week; it's been non stop rain and storms.
Where has everyone got sun from. It's been rancid in Shropshire 4" rain in under 24 hrs. So been riding in Watopia, back on the Zwift wagon.
First wet ride in a while (Hello autumn!) been spoilt on the full suss for too long as well the hardtail took some getting used to on the rocky Hebden trails.
After a day of mist and rain on Saturday, I headed over to Notts as the weather over there was due to be less bad.
Had a laugh at Watchwood, although it was a bit slippy slidy, lots of winch and plummet fun.
As I was over that way I thought I'd do a lap of Sherwood Pines red. Kinda wished I hadn't TBH, not done it for about 9 years and remembered why. Probably about 15 minutes of actual fun trails in an hour. The rest of the time was just head down and peddling. To add insult to injury it cost me £7 to park for an hour and 50 minutes.
Cafe is better than it used to be though and I did see some blue sky 🙂

No riding here, but got up Crowberry Ridge to an astounding sunset over Glencoe.

My phone didn't know what to make of it!
Ilkley >Dick Hudson's> Baildon >Leeds in the rain to pick up my car after a party the night before. Some lovely trails.

More Ardennes easy greenways

No pictures, but had a cracking Sunday morning ride with the Austin Ridge Riders as part of my farewell to Texas. Sunny, 26 degrees and good company. If you ever find yourself in this part of the world and fancy riding, I fully recommend finding them. Austin has an immense amount of good riding scattered all around the city.

In possibly the finest weather of the year, extra-emely jealous. I'm sort of panicking and wanting to get up there and ride it again before the Lochan na h-Earba section is irrevocably changed by the hydro works.
More local gravel for me, still chasing the 'perfect' local loop around Crieff and Auchterarder.

Still on Friuli, although I think this is our last week here... Slowly going to head back north of the alps to Munich for two months of work... ?
Had a stupid crash on Wednesday after over cooking it on a descent. Bruised arse, lots of road rash and missing skin.
Saturday was the last day with decent weather.
Planned to ride ~100km over the pass and along the Tagliamento. Stopped at the refugio for a cappuccino, but ended up staying for six hours. Cappuccino, cake, beer, polenta, more beer, capriolo and frico, more beers.
Ended up being only 40km. Fortunately the ride was all down hill after the refugio.

Down in Faversham for the Brother Cycles Big'Un ride this weekend. Fantastic day for it in between the horrible rain we had earlier in the week and what was forecast for the Sunday. I look incredibly pained in this photo, but it's actually because I'd just had a stream of suncream/sweat drop into my eye rather than because of the climb!
