Venturing further into the Tweed Valley tomorrow and Sunday.

Lets see what everyone else has been up to?

Wife was away for a couple of days, so I did the school run Wednesday & Thursday, then after dropping the boy off went straight to Puddletown for a few hours, it’s her 40th tomorrow so no biking for a couple of day.

Someone been making some log jumps from the recent felling it looks like prime timber, they have taken from the log piles, some nice lines, but I can’t imagine it’s going to help relations with the forestry and land owners.

Haven't been on the bike for almost 2 months so obviously an uplift day at innerleithen was how to restart. Forgot my wheel, had to go home and get it. Said "I'm a bit rusty, I'm just going to take it easy til I'm warmed up" then instantly got the red mist and chased my mate down like a dog, then fell off literally about 30 seconds into the first run. Only one photo and it is, er...

[img] [/img]

Missed the last bus as a result but what a brilliant day anyway.

Managed to drag myself out for a local loop at lunchtime so I could get a ride in while the ground is till relatively firm and the autumn colours are still around.

Most of the leaves are now on the floor but it was still good to get a spin in, even if I wasn't particularly fast. Really need to get some base fitness back over the next few weeks so I can hit the new year hard and get my power and endurance back. Who knew no longer commuting every day to work would be so detrimental.

Girlfriend is allowed back out to play post-covid - yaaaay!
Seems all the leaves and needles are now just mush on the forest floors - like milk-soaked corn flakes.

Bit of Braap today.
Did a KTM enduro experience day in North Wales.
Rad day. Only fell off a few times and only ran over one person. 😊👍

45k around the tamar valley this morning on the gravel bike. ~25km off road. Bitter northerly headwind slog home…

I was quite glad the causeway at Lopwell has been fixed as I already had cold toes…

Went out for a macride with mini D to look at the big windmills.

It was all going so well until we got on top of the moors and that bitterly cold wind hit and his hands, face and feet got a bit too cold and he just wanted his mummy.

Can't wait for spring, I just hope he still fits in the seat! We've had some great rides together. Best bike bit I've ever bought.

No pics, but biggest son got away and pedaling for the first time, and littlest gor round almost all of the pumptrack on his own - feet up down the rollers. 😀

Ooh - I can play! Great pics so far.

Few weeks back I decided I needed to take control of my weekends a bit so scheduled a trip up North. Couple of pals interested, one with a van so we headed up to Glen Clova on Saturday night, dinner at the Hotel and a wee overnighter in Glen Doll car park. Full moon was like a flood light.

[img] [/img]

Route choice was either over a couple of big hills to descend Jock's Road, or out along Loch Muick and back. With snow on the hills and a biting wind we opted for the more "sensible" route. Felt suitably adventurous in those conditions. Sunny pictures of course belie the cold and wind.

@singlespeedstu reckon you chose the wrong day for Yair. Hadn't been for a while so decided to take my time. PB on "2hoes" and "off the saddle" before playing tree pinball on "total control racing" and rag dolling myself off several trees

Another dry weekend in East Anglia, I'll take that in mid-November!
Spent Saturday with the boys at Phoenix Cycleworks practising some jump skills, then a very pleasant pootle around Tunstall forest on Sunday with MrsReady.

Might head over again today as the sun's out.
Need to try and do something with the bog on the pushup track.
