I will be making spaghetti for the other half tonight.

Saturday - up early with little one to watch qualifying -- let mum have a lie in. then off to tesco's, then we have a father son afternoon (will have to go and buy a stair gate for suckling junior because he is getting round a bit) to do something whilst mum has a make up trial for our wedding.

then i think it is a relaxing evening in front of the tele...might get a film--which one? open to suggestions....

Sunday - up early again because little one doesn't do lie ins, but will mean watching F1 race....then pootle around, and I will sack off going to the in laws for sunday lunch in favour of going out on my MTB, then sunday night will come round...

Anybody got any more of a rock and roll plan than i do 😉

Wedding evening do no saturday where i've got to be restrained, not drink and leave early as i've got my 1st road race sunday.

nervous but excited at the same time. Checked out the course last night. 1 climb that we have to do 8 laps of. The rest of Sunday I will be mostly sitting on the sofa eating cheesy wotsits in my underpants

i'm insanely jealous of you all. I wouldn't mind doing a race this weekend....although if I compared myself two years ago (when my last race was) to now, i am completely out of shape....havn't put the weight on really, just don't have the stamina which i would of had, when i used to ride every single day

Friday evening: Beer Festival in Newton Abbot followed by a moonlit (clear sky dependant) semi off-road night ride home 🙂

Saturday: Depends on how the beer festival went. 😕 Might take the kids camping up on Dartmoor

Sunday: Meaningless chores around the house 🙁

Saturday morning, throwing the tent on the back of the surly and leaving Dundee via the 77 up to Logierait then jumping on the 7 across to Aberfeldy. Over the Tay up the B846 and then west at Loch Kinardochy by Schiehallion then enjoying the descent to Kinloch Rannoch. Eating, drinking and sleeping.

Sunday morning, along to Pitlochry then down the 77 all the way home.
🙂

Wife is treating me to a weekend away in kettlewell / Yorkshire for my birthday 😀
Taking the Road bikes on this trip so planning on a big ride Saturday, hopefully around the 80 / 90 mile range, then a very easy 30 / 40 on Sunday 🙂

Think I might go to the Lakes, stay in a house 10 mins ride from Grizedale and not come back until next Friday.

Yeh, that sounds like a good idea!

Pick up new bike on Saturday.

Probably won't fancy a ride after that.

out on a night ride tonight probably up to back end of the Skyline and back home, Saturday is kids day, Sunday may get couple of hours on the bike or go running, then take wife and kids to the airport to fly to Scotland to see Nanny which means I have a week to attempt the painting of the hall and kids bedrooms or get out on the bike every night from Sunday onwards and take a serious nagging when they get home - so plan is to blast the painting early in week and I am free 😀

Get in 😆

I am right now and will be for the majority of Saturday....

Counting down the minutes until 09:45 Sunday morning in deepest darkest South London, when the gun will go and I'll attempt my first marathon.

Really looking forward to it... although I'm a bit worried about how hot its going to be.

(Meesterbond how you feeling about it?)

My first one too... currently alternating between very excited and bricking it. Wishing I'd trained more, wondering whether every little twinge or slightest ache is going to cripple me come Sunday... the usual!

I'll be pacing round the house tomorrow though. Just want it to start now!

Well I promised to cook tonight so on the way home I'll pop into the curry house for a take out.

Then tomorrow I'm going fishing.

Then on Sunday I'll be taking the wife out on her new bike for her second ever bike ride.

On a related note, does anyone have any recommendations for gentle bike rides in Surrey that aren't too taxing? I can't take her on my usual 40+ mile route around the North Downs. Last weekend we did a 12 mile route down the Thames Path and back round Hampton Court Palace.
