It's Friday and I am thinking of an overhaul for my beloved 1x1 so inspire me. I don't want to get in to a why ride singlespeed arguement I just want to see the clean lines of your pimped Singlespeeds.

SS you say? Pimped you say?

[img] [/img]

since these pics I changed to a SID team, the carbon rigids just weren't very ....erm.... rigid. The SID is a great match for the frame aswell

Lovely shot of the Gorge Simon. I'm guessing you were descending rather than coming up. 😀

Don't have one built up currently but this was the one I used over the winter:
[img] [/img]
It's rather more towards the cheap and shonky end of the scale, although it was pretty light.

I'll probably rebuild my slot-dropout Inbred as a SS once my Roadrat arrives as it'll no longer be needed for commuting duties then.

This is an exciting post for me as it includes 2 bikes and they're both mine - what novelty.

Shonky phone pic:

Almost the oposite of SeanOrange's

I think a nice shiney white saddle and seat clamp might be in order to finish it off...

(Yes I do need to clean my kitchen)

Just searched the computer and realised I don't have a single picture of my SS and it's probably the build I've had the longest.

So you'll have to imagine a '98 Kona Kilauea in mustard yellow with blue decals, '97 Z1 BAM in orange with blue decals with as many bits fitted for being blue as possible and a steel stem nearly as long as the top tube.

Remember when the 'show us your singlespeeds' threads used to be 80 or 90% white On-Ones? What happened to all of them? I never had one.

Okay, so not really clean lines and definitely not pimp, whole build probably cost me less than some of the front forks pictured above, but i love it...

[img] [/img]

obligatory inverted photo
[img] [/img]

keep meaning to take some better photos, but normally having too much fun riding it, and yes mary bars and pink lockons, so i can never loose it in a crowd!!

(oh and i have a Kona Unit frame which i think may well become a pimp ss)

This one is rather common considering some of the pedigree beauties on here, but she's done me for about two or three years now. Yes, it is too small for me.

Yeah, sorry about that. Haven't decided which bike the forks will live on yet... and frankly I'm leaving them there now just to annoy you.

Edit.. Although Scienceofficer needs to sort his shit out. Ow many?
