LOL!

All of that made me laugh 😂

It might actually be a Cotic.

Krypton there is no way I will ever be ahead of you in a race!

I do t have a knife block in my lounge, but I do have a log burner in my kitchen.

The nectarines are gently warming to room temperature as I dont like cold fruit.

The firewood is indeed artisanal, felled and split and seasoned by myself. A true artisan 😉

And yes, the grass does need cutting, but ain't happening any time soon.

I may reveal all tomorrow as I am currently on the pub 🤘

Stw er here in shock that you'd rather go pubbing it than stay in looking at that fancy cardboard box

You're "on" the pub?
Don't drink to much and fall of it.
Oh and pics when it's built up please.
You can't have a new bike thread without pics of it.

Unfortunately other stuff getting in the way so probably won't get a ride until next weekend.

Loving the comments 😜🤘🤩

Check the shock works ok, I’ve just built my XL RocketMAX up today and the shock is knackered!

Nice bike, though I'm slightly biased. Assuming you're pretty tall?

Really appreciate the nice comments, and love the bants, made me laugh lots.

The open shed is just a bit of shelter for the neighbours pet sheep.

And the hedge, well yeah, that's taking a bit of getting going.

I'm 6'4" which I think is reasonably tall.

Just gotta read up on the Shimano 12 speed, clutches and that stuff, been on Sram for a while.

First proper new bike for quite some years so can't wait to give it a ragging.

And I now have some 26er parts to sell 😱

Nice, although I’m biased too 🙂 Coming up to two years on mine and still think it’s brilliant for what I do. Good choice of colour too, but how you can resist riding it for a week is beyond me.

Nice bike. Based on my experience I'd get some better chain stay protection on, my chain hits just in front of the Cotic one

Looks good.
Needs a 210 dropper.
I bet your old 26er looked comical.

This looks lovely.  Plenty of frame protection is going under those braided hoses I hope....

To pimp it up a bit Id get the forks painted to match the frame, change the cable/hose so its black, not silver/grey and swop the rear cassette for a black one. Then it would all colour match and probably go faster.

Good spot on the brake hose.

Cotic fitted my Hope brakes but didn't want to mess with the fittings to route it properly, which we agreed on.

I am now in the garage fitting black hose and proper routing, coz yeah I didn't like the braided either. It does have full length clear cover tho Kryton.

Interested in the tyre comments though. I've been on the de rigueur minion/butcher/high roller combos for years. Thought I'd try something else and these were on the options list. I is worried now 😱

Funkmasterp - you are welcome to come give me a push to straighten the tree up 😁

Commitments got in the way of riding this weekend, hopefully a Tuesday night ride is on the cards 🤩

The rocketmax demo had the wtb vigilante/ trail boss combo on, I thought they were good!
I wonder why cotic didn’t just unbolt the front shock mount and rout the hoses correctly?

Crazbaboon - the cables need to thread through the shock mount and the fittings are just a bit too big.

Rear brake now done.

Looking forward to the testing the tyres 🤘

Finally! Been on the FlareMax.

https://i.postimg.cc/ZRVcMbcZ/20200207-162703.jp g" target="_blank">https://i.postimg.cc/ZRVcMbcZ/20200207-162703.jp g"/> [/img]" alt="" />

And then with a bit of dirt on it 😱

First impressions are that the fit is perfect, which is why I got a new bike, been looking for about 18 months to get the right fit. I'm 6'4" so need big and roomy.

Was very wet and muddy so super slidey, a bit unfair to comment on the tyres yet.

12 speed shimano worked very nicely. Been on SRAM for a while and like the "clunk", but also like the lightness of shimano.

A few suspension and tyre pressure tweaks needed.

Happy bunny.

Looks better dirty 🙂

I'm thinking of treating mine to the CCinline shock (went for the O2 originally as I'm just a bimbler) so I'll be interested to hear how the tweaking goes.

Roverpig - the shock is certainly the smoothest that I've ever had. It moves effortlessly with no hint of stiction.
