Hello
I am trying to plan some time in the Italian Lakes in the summer, for a section of summer holiday. We are hoping to spend some time at the coast (Finale Ligure) and then head north, then back up via Switzerland/Germany (undecided), France etc and back to the UK. Have no real experience of the Italian lake region, so am open to any suggestions.
I have considered Como, Maggiore, Lugano and Garda. We are a couple of families with young kids and both are in motorhomes/campervan; kids all mountain bike, but mix of levels. Looking for any campsites that are (wait for it, moon on a stick):
near the lake, with a pool, other stuff to do, with in close proximity of (if possible) some lift assisted biking (or local shuttle company)
Two I've been to and would recommend are Andalo/Molveno, Saalbach/Leogang and lake Zell am see.
Been to Finale loads of times, just got back, and always stay at the same campsite. It dose get booked up quite early and they have an up lift service from the campsite. Only been once during the summer and it was very hot

Been to most of the Italian Lakes and would only go back to Lake Garda as we think its the best one for mountain biking. We stayed in Torbole at Camping Maroadi which is on the lake side

Lake Como - we stayed at this campsite once https://www.tripadvisor.es/Hotel_Review-g659317-d23603949-Reviews-Camping_Pai_Da_Maria-Torri_del_Benaco_Province_of_Verona_Veneto.html
Very friendly and cheap. Was near to a chairlift that took you up to some impressive trails - https://funiviedelbaldo.it/it/funivia-prada-costabella/
There's also this bigger one further down the road that takes you to some quality riding. https://funiviedelbaldo.it/it/online-ticket-it/
