Probably seven years or more since this saw an offroad ride - and after a few years of declining fitness and increasing weight I've decided to try and get back into cycling in a proper way. So the old Ti Inbred was dragged out of the shed yesterday. And if can stick with it over winter I'll treat myself to a new bike in spring (I think things have moved on in 20+ years!) .

It's pretty much ready to go, just need to get some more brake fluid and bleed the brakes as the levers are touching the bars and not doing much else! 🙂

I think the hardest part will be making it a 'habit' again. Just the routine of knowing where all your kit is is a big part of getting out on a dark night.

Are the local aviary okay with you borrowing one of their perches for that stem 🙂

I had one of those back in the day. It was a really nice bike. It also signalled the death of singlespeeding for me after two very wet laps of cwmcarn with a slipping EBB!

There's an aesthetic of an old skool, seat up, bars over axle, titanium sans lots of graphics, that's very pleasing to me...

Just ride it. It’ll be capable of doing everything it could before. I’m a firm believer in action first, with the equipment you have, then buy later as your needs become clear
