Keeping it short and sweet:
Need to replace the 2.1 Fire XC Pros I'm running on my Soul. Don't particularly like them.
Want tomething both bigger and grippier - thinking about Conti Rubber Queens. Is 2.4 overkill for a HT that's to be ridden in non-jeycore-agressive-free-XC-lite? Are the 2.2s a real 2.2?
Oh, and for those WGAS, rims are 717s.
Thoughts?
my contis were narrow for 2.2s, should be ok with 2.4s IMO, as they are likely to come up narrow too
I heard the Conti Rubber Queens are not 'Conti-Size', i.e. the 2.4's are quite large.

I have used Conti Vert Pros (UST) for a long time. Just made a change on one of my bikes to Nobby Nics and really happy with these. They seem to grip really well, light in UST variant and so far holding up well.
Yeah! Rubber Queens are waaay large! Just bought a 2.2 UST one.It dwarfs the 2.2 Mountain King.I'am having doubts on it fitting in a Fox 32 fork! Haven't tried yet!
Thanx Max
Hmm.
I shan't be buying a 2.4 Rubber Queen then.
Do the 2.2s come in Black Chilli?
Hmm Conti website says that the 2.4's are made with an extra sticky Black Chilli compound. It says that the 2.2's are made with a faster compound, but does not explicitly state whether it is Black Chilli or not.
