So I bought an XTR M980 rh shifter with an iSpec B clamp thinking that the bar clamp from my M970 shifter would fit. Oh no it doesn't - Shimano have done the upgrade and not backwards compatible trick again!
So, rather than fart about returning and reordering shifters, what matchmaker clamp would work with Hope Race X2 brakes and M980 iSpec shifter?
Will the HBSP 264 matchmaker work?
The Hope website says it will work with the M980 shifter but it doesn't say the iSpec B M980i shifter. Help!

yer tricky number that, I think shimano bought shares in a hex key manufacturer and thus proceeded to fit every different size screw to this brake system??? bonkers. I take it you have emailed hope for help? this website may prove helpful? it's a german mfg of custom made brake/gear adaptors http://www.trickstuff.de/en/products/clapton_KL.php
they don't mention hope either but the pictures maybe helpful?
