I've just picked up a Cnoc 14 small for mini xcpootler off Gumtree for the bargain price of £50.
The hubs and headset are a bit rough and so I was hoping to give them a bit of a service at the same time as giving the bike a bit of a cleanup. Has anyone done this and know whether they're loose or cartridge bearings, and what sizes?
Also, is the chain a standard 1/8 inch single speed chain?
Thanks!
Not sure as far as sizes go, but not come across cartridge bearings on any of the Islabikes i've serviced in the past.
I asked a similar question a while since, possibly some helpful info here?

On our Cnoc 14 all the bearings I've seen (headset and wheels so far) are loose bearings not cartridge.
In my case the lower headset cup was rough so rather than trying to get new ball bearings or similar I bought a new one from Islabike, they're not dear.
This said, while waiting for the new headset to arrive I tried just flushing with WD40 and repacking with grease, and it's still going a year or so later, albeit a bit notchy. When it finally dies I'll fit the new one, I've got another kidster in line for this bike so it's nice to have spares!
IIRC I asked Islabike about chains and they said use an 8 speed one, which I did, and that has been fine.
Enjoy sorting it out, they're great little bikes 😀
Actually, just to add to that - it's worth contacting Islabikes if you have any queries. I found them really helpful, and they stock all the spares you'll need.
I stripped and serviced mine after it was bought from here and was a rusty old heap. The bearings were ok, just dry. The spokes and most bolts were rusted up. I just regreased everything and it has been fine, but did replace a few bolts and grips direct from Isla bike who were very helpful.
