I either love it or hate it and I can't decide.
It's a lot of bike for the money (~£3500 from mainland europe), it ticks all my boxes. I just...don't know.

Ugly. It's a fraction too ellsworth for me at the rear. From memory they are very short in reach too.

Ugly, not because of the colour scheme but I just don't get on with the big rocker/linkage thing it's got going on.

Not a fan of those extended rocker type see-saw linkages myself, look a bit gangly/spindly/cumbersome.

Buts that's purely an aesthetics thing.

I thought the same when I saw it. But it's kind of grown on me in a form following function sense. I think it's a bit too tall anyway (they don't publish the standover figures)

Perhaps the Transition Suppressor would be a lot prettier version of this.

I Like big rockers and love the look of ellsworth, but stuff me, that bike is a minger even to my twisted perception.

I've always liked the Ellsworths so the frame design is ok but my god that paint job hurts my eyes. It's the same with all Cube bikes - just not to my taste. But the world would be a dull place if we all liked the same thing!

It's very cube in its awful colouring. Strangely appealing.

They look better in real life usually and for the new season they have lengthened the top tubes to keep them Enduro.

.... On the assumption that you don't really see your bike when riding it, the aesthetic qualities come much further down the scale than performance, VFM, etc..

That rear brake hose routing is offending me far more than I should allow it to.

Who's bright idea was that?

I like it, industrial look to it though.

Designed to perform rather than look good.

Not a fan. Looks short and high when all the other bikes are getting long and low.

Pretty ugly. 😉
I quite like the look of 'em, but not sure about that paint job or the geo in the larger sizes.

If it was "Murdered Out" nobody would be having this discussion.

Just sayin'

If it was murdered out I don't think anyone would turn up at the funeral.

Have you seen how he sets it up?! (180mm fork rock hard and 40% sag on the rear).

Im confused how you all think its tall, when it will be as tall as the next bike with that fork. The seat is still below the bars even with a dropper post.

Bizarrely the reach only increases by 2mm if you go from a 20" to a 22"...weird.

Just in case you guys thought that a long rocker is the only way to make a bike ugly;
[img] [/img]
that is ****ing disgusting. Worse than the cube IMHO.

I guess FS bikes (actually ALL bikes) are very subjective.
Mind you, if I had £3.5k to spend on a bike it wouldn't be going on THAT.
A Transition Patrol however...that IS a pretty (and probably more capable and lusted after than that) bike IMHO.

It's rank

The main point should be does it ride well?

Colour scheme, no.

The bike, yes.

I have the 2015, stereo 140 tm. Incredible Bike. I change bikes far too often but this is easily the best I've had. Flies uphill, flies downhill. It does look weird in that I'm 5'9" and on the 20" but it feels perfect.

If it works, it's fine. Just reminds me of an early 00's Kona Stinky.
Frankly though, aesthetically , it's old fashioned.

I like it. And yes, the brake routing pictured is super stupid. Potential to wear out the carbon by the pivot much...?

quite,

however the world has now moved on

like Daewoo cars, new car, old design, not acceptable,

brake hose is horrific, looks like they finished designing, sent it off then though "ah **** we forgot about the rear brake"
