I was in a bike shop in Barcelona earlier and picked up a flyer for Lapurrito 2016, it's based on the stage of the Vuelta a EspaƱa last year which claimed Chris Froome. 145km 5200m climbing, 4 x 1st cat and a Hors cat climb around Andorra, finishing at the top of the Encamp at 2100 m. I was at the finish of this stage on the vuelta last year and have never seen as many knackered pros. Just as a warm up, there's also a 10km TT on the Saturday with a mere 820m of climbing. Makes the Fred Whitton seem a bit tame š

Sorry, I meant single day road events. I'm doing the CAT700 in 6 weeks which is a self supported event, off road, with 12,000m of climbing and 400+ miles but has a 5 day time limit so should be a piece of piss šÆ
