Linked to This on another thread. I was in a bike shop in Barcelona earlier and picked up a flyer for Lapurrito 2016, it's based on the stage of the Vuelta a EspaƱa last year which claimed Chris Froome. 145km 5200m climbing, 4 x 1st cat and a Hors cat climb around Andorra, finishing at the top of the Encamp at 2100 m. I was at the finish of this stage on the vuelta last year and have never seen as many knackered pros. Just as a warm up, there's also a 10km TT on the Saturday with a mere 820m of climbing. Makes the Fred Whitton seem a bit tame šŸ˜€

Probably not... Similar numbers to the grand raid in August and that's off road. Mad Europeans. Should probably start training for that at some point...

Look at tour du Mont Blanc, 330km, 8000m ascent. 😳

Sorry, I meant single day road events. I'm doing the CAT700 in 6 weeks which is a self supported event, off road, with 12,000m of climbing and 400+ miles but has a 5 day time limit so should be a piece of piss 😯

The Dragon Devil was 302km, 4900m of climbing in its first year.
