hi
I'm looking to consolidate the bike collection down to a 29er hardtail and an enduro bike capable of some chunky trails. I was having a look around and I saw the Radon Swoop 29er:
Now, just looking at the spec it seems to be head and shoulders above anything else out there for the money. Obvs warranty is a bit of a possible issue in case of problems, but has anyone had experience of Radon or of the Swoop?
And any alternatives to this trail basher?
Thanks in advance! 🙂
Looks good but..
... have you considered looking at the Intense Outlet site?
Lots of carbon loveliness for not that much (and amazing frames to upgrade the bits on)
Just a thought
Intense outlet carbon dribble fest
They are very good value. Not much comes close to the level of kit for the price you pay.
I have had the 650b version of the 9.0 Swoop for a couple of years now, and have recently bought the 10.0 version of the 29er Swoop to replace it. (The old one is for sale in the classifieds at the moment, complete with a new frame 😊).
Warranty wise, I have been very impressed. I noticed a small crack in a weld on the rear triangle of the 650b bike and they very efficiently sent me out a complete new frame. The mech hangar of the new bike was slightly bent and they got a new one out to me in a couple of days. Email support though ordering, and both these issues has been great.
I know a few other people who ride various versions of the Swoop and they are all equally impressed.
I had the 650b version, it was an awesome bike and I only sold it to go full 29er.
IMO the main question you have to ask is whether a 170mm travel 29er is the right bike for you.
Yes it is a bargain. The Calibre Sentry Pro is also worth a look in a similar vein...
