There's a few 30T ones around. Do a search on the XX1 rings. Used for 1x10 generally.

28 or 30t singlespeed ring, maybe (only one I know of smaller than 104mm BCD is a 30, and that uses an offset ring).

28 or 30 t middle, no.

Shimano are doing a 20-30-40 Deore chainset for 29ers in2014 aren't they?

I run a 27T ring.

It's the smaller of the two Middleburn Duo rings.

Not sure that helps though?

Op you are limited by the bolt hole dimensions. 32t doesnt leave much tooth above my Shimano crank arm's spider.

If you wanted smaller i would have thought a trials crank and a custom ring but that would possibly need to be 1x

If you fit a non-offset 30t 104mm ring like the Extralite one you have to file your spider so the chain doesn't hit it. Don't think anyone does one with ramps etc, begs the question though... why not just change down?

Shimano are doing a 20-30-40 Deore chainset for 29ers in2014 aren't they?

I was thinking that, sure they are.
