Is there still a cake stop on the CYB Beast trail?

Riding it tomorrow and cake stop would be ideal!

I don't think so, but not 100% sure. Can't recall exactly when we did it, but think it was last summer.  The barn,/cafe thing on the RHS of the road opposite their house seemed to be truly closed up and quite overgrown.

My guess is they suffered from the relative lack of popularity of CyB in general over the last years. Even after COVID it has seemed pretty dead when we have been.

Not for a long time I think, not since well before covid, they have enough trouble making the main cafe pay for itself (though that could be forestry charging too much rent)

No, the house has been renovated quite a bit. The 'shed' over the road from the house used to then do the snacks, but that has been closed for a while as well.

The trail center cafe was busy there last weekend!

There’s a pub and coffee shop on the A470 if you roll down the fire trail, just before Big Dug, cross the bridge at the picnic area and take a short cheeky footpath left parallel to the river,  the path pops out directly opposite the pub.
Had a few in there last month, they also do food.
