Mr Spin?

I'm guessing his beneficiaries did not decide this at gunpoint.

but lots of the Mr Men and little miss have glasses. At least they're advertising a product they actually use unlike the bloomin bog roll stealing puppy.

Who is this Hargreaves chap? You do know that the Mr Men are real don't you?

no, there are no depths that advertising will not plumb. They will plagiarize anything, steal any concept, abase any idea.

Advertising doesn't work which is why they spend so much money on it or is it advertising works which is why they spend so much money on it

I think Hargreaves was Mr Commercial himself so no spinning in grave, just the satisfied rubbing of skeletal hands.

the one that really grates me is the Genius bread with a CGI'ed Albert Einstein drifting off from philosophising to dreaming about the bread.

Maybe we need a monthly 'Annoying Adverts' thread.

I quite like that call abroad for 1p advert:

"So I'll meet you at the conference in Paris."

"What? She's getting MARRIED!!!!!"

I've seen better acting in the North Curry amateur dramatics society.

Some things are pretty safe. I'd be suprised to see a cartoon of the prophet muhammed appearing in an iceland ad.

The odd thing is that Mr STW actually does look like me, we have the same eyebrow.

It would be a sad day if anyone were to use anything by smallfilms in an advert I expect they already have though.

I love it when we get lectured by 'socialist revolutionaries' like Bobbie Gillespie, railing as he is want to do in interviews about the evils of Capitlism.

Then... who'd have thunk it... his music pops up on a Kellogs advert. Nice royalty cheque that. Ker... and indeed...ching!

Aaaaaaaah [s]Bisto[/s] the rich aroma of hypocrisy

Their Postman Pat advert was fantastic as well.

Very clever ads.

I liked this one too for some reason

Sponsoring football referees was just a stroke of genius.
