I run 180mm rotors so bought Shimano adapters (see photos). The fronts came with grey "wobble" spacers (not sure what they're called) - but the rears didn't. Is that normal ?
Shouldn't I have them at the rear too ?

Not needed for that adapter
No, you have correct parts.
See the front brake, the bolts go all the way through in to the legs. To get the position they want, the caliper is no longer straight respective to these bolts. You can see that the cup & cone washers are required as the bolt head would not sit flush on the caliper.
On the rear brake, there are bolts holding the adaptor on and bolts holding the caliper on to the adaptor. Everything can be made nice and straight without needing cup & cone washers.
Thanks guys - what brilliant source of knowledge this place is !
The shortened headline on the mobile site promised so much more...
Disappointed 😥
I like the term 'wobble spacers'.
Ah ah, so they're called cup and cones as in the Shimano hubs cup and cones ?
I'm with milky, this thread promised so much, yet delivered so little.
Oh I best check that I actually used those spacers on my bike...
