Morning All,
Off to Penmachno over the weekend and after visiting 'The Swallow Falls' Cafe and being a bit disappointed at the prices and bacon butties, served on what I can only describe as a bread equivalent of tissue paper last time we visited, we're looking for an alternative cafe.
Not looking for a full blown meal, just a decent buttie and brew
Will be heading back up towards the A55, so any where along that route would be good.
Cheers
Carl
PS- its not all bad at The Swallow Falls cafe, they do nice cake and coffee
The cafe in llanwrust was good. Opp the spar where the road narrows....
Cheers, parking is a bit tight but will prob give it a try.
Anyone have any others?
I that not a cafe where you turn off the A5 to Penmachno?
There are a number of cafes etc in Betws
Conwy falls cafe is good. As you turn out onto the A5 it's on the corner.
Chippy next to the bridge in the middle of Betws FTW
highclimber +1
Lots of alternatives in Betws (the one next to the train station does a very good breakfast and has a long list of posh coffees and teas). Swallow Falls is good though - is it a while since you've been?
The Alpine Cafe in Betws - good food and atmosphere - next to railway station.
My bad, its The Conway Falls Cafe not The Swallows Fall Cafe.
Did end up going there yesterday as didn't want to leave the bikes unmaned on the car.
Had beans on toast with a egg and it was much better than the bacon buttie, still not gvfm
Coffee and cakes still good
Another vote for Alpine Cafe in Betws, always a nice spot.
Another vote for Alpine Cafe in Betws
it is a very nice cafe but I have yet to figure out it's affinity for Orangutangs! they're pictured everywhere!
They are pictures of locals no?
I'll get my coat.....maybe more as I'm hopefully moving in that general direction in a few months!
