I'm sure someone in here has bought a fork from Germany or similar but then had to make a warranty claim.

Did it have to go back to Germany, or did you get it sorted in the UK?

I had a new one fail, Lyrik, on the first day of a three weeks Alps trip. No one would look at it under warranty and a call to the importers confirmed for it to be repaired it needed to be returned to the UK.
I stumped up €250 to get it sorted in a couple of days and then had a silly off and damaged the stanchion.

Should be as it is SRAM which is global.

Cheers. I'll have a look for some in the UK then. Can't imagine getting stuff to and from Germany is going to be very easy in a few months time.

Ah, maybe buying from Germany would be okay.

Oh oh me me me! I could have had it sorted in this country but it would have meant paying whichever shop to handle the warranty. It was therefore cheaper and nice and easy to send back to the shop in Germany and the German SRAM tech centre to deal with the repair. Took three weeks start to finish and the shop in question have a returns process with prepaid label to return them. The 'repaired' set of forks came back with stickers not stuck on, stickers missing, and no sag markings on the stanchion at all but hey they don't rattle and knock now!

No, all Rockshox warranty is via the original retailer. It sounds like others have got lucky with other retailers, but I wouldn't bank on it.

I've seen that bit, but what if the original retailer goes out if business?

I've had a local dealer send back a shock from a bike before that they didn't sell me, but it was bought in the UK.

Do SRAM still help dealer price match? I know if was a thing some years ago, but I don't know if they still do.
