Trying to buy some CO2 which they have at the very good price of 49p and the checkout automatically adds £39.98 for "bike delivery" and there doesn't seem to be any way of deselecting it.

Am I nuts or are they?

Think you will find if you add more than a certain quantity, I forget what number, it jacks the delivery up to stop people buying it to resell as a guess. I know because I found the same when trying to buy 20 for me and my lad.

Just added 10 to my basket, £4.99 delivery

15 becomes £9.99 so its obviously weight/quantity based, if still a bit out price wise

Just been back and played with the checkout, you can have upto 14 for £4.99 delivery which works out at 85p per cartridge.

co2cartridges.co.uk work out at 73p if you order 30.

Thanks PX but no thanks

How many co2 cartridges do you get through?!

Think I’ve used 4, ever.

I use em for seating tubeless tyres as I don't have a compressor. Valve core out and co2 in no probs to pop the bead on. Then core back in and track pump.

I bought some cartridges for them as they had the bigger size in stock which are difficult to get at the time.

They would inflate a 29er from flat to full. Smaller ones don't have the capacity to do that. That might be a moot point to most.

We bought the big ones in bulk but that was a while ago when you could collect. Don't know if that is still an option.

Maybe I'm just lazy but mainly it's this:

I use em for seating tubeless

As for:

How many co2 cartridges do you get through?!

well

you can have upto 14 for £4.99 delivery

So 14 🙂

So 14

But aren’t you buying 30, over double what you need, just to save 8 pence a cartridge?

Get on the Web chat.

I was buying two rims and two rim tapes. 1 rim + 1 tape = regular postage. 1 rim + 2 tapes = 19.99 for bike delivery. I got on the chat and the bloke tole me he would refund the extra postage once I'd sent him my order number. Took a couple days but he was good to his word. Seems to be a funny automated idiosyncrasy.
