My rear triangle, that is...it seems pretty stiff out of the box (2010 Spot), with no shock in I can't move the rear triangle without applying a fair bit of force.
Is this just something that loosens up during use? I appreciate that once I'm on the bike I'll be generating much larger forces than I can by hand, but as it stands, as I say...pretty stiff! Seems to me as though small bump sensitivity would be compromised, but then, what would I know...it's my first FS bike, so I have no experience of these things!

My Flux DW (09) was pretty stiff and on the CRC site one of the Reviews wrote
"If suspension is stiff check that the main pivot is the same width all across, mine was wider at edges - replacement from Turner was fine. With shock unbolted you should be able to depress the suspension from the top with just fingers pushing down on the saddle."
Could email Turner...they've always been good with queries for me
yes, stiff when new. the bushes need a little time to brake in.
you wont notice when riding.
Thanks for the input guys, I'll see how it breaks in after a couple of rides.
Cheers,
