I bought this bmx second hand without noticing the issue.
The cups have 'eaten' into both the sidewall and the inside of the BB tube, I've kind of managed to fix the cup rattling using Loctite 660, but as the cups don't seat flush with the tube sidewall the spindle has play and eventually the cups get play.

I am thinking on trying a FSA PF30 Threaded BB Adapter, but wondered if there was a better solution that doesn't cost as much as a new frame...

Try a framebuilder such as Argos Racing Cycles(or maybe a small engineering company), they may be able to bore & sleeve it.
