Hi All,

When I am trying to scroll around the mapping page on my 1000 it takes ages to 'catch up' when I am moving the map around. Is this just a thing or is there something going on? It's fine when on the maps page when I am moving along but if I need to look ahead it is frustratingly slow. I am using the OS mapping but it seems to do the same no matter what map I use.

Any ideas?

Is there not a resolution setting where you can decide how much detail to display?  I find the built in maps are ok but some of the others that you can get have too much detail and can get really sluggish.  In any case it rarely seems to be a problem in use, only when you are trying to look around.  I almost always use basecamp to find my locations and send them to the 1000 rather than use the device itself as it is too slow

edit: you can set the detail level, info is here https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/edge1000/EN-US/GUID-76111736-B1C8-4EA0-91E1-72B53C52F71A.html

but I never bother any more as I find it easier to send all the locations I want from basecamp in advance as scrolling is so painful
