Having never been I know very little about it but my son is riding not too far from there this weekend so I was thinking I could take an ebike over there and ride some trails so was just wondering if I am allowed on the trails there or if it’s restricted?
Thanks.
urm, other than the Halo series trails, which are part of One Giant Leap, which is a club, I don't know what trails you could ride and be close enough
sorry I wasn’t very clear. It’s that one giant leap stuff that I think I meant, is that private?
I had a look on Strava heat maps which shows trails being used in a forest above their base and I can see these on google maps but are those private land?
Thanks!
Have a look here:

Although:
Having access to the top of the hill using a public tarmac road it is possible to do your own uplift. Only club members may ride the tracks out of official events.
It's £30 for the year. Trails are open... but DAMN it would be a climb that's for sure.
Thanks all. I’ll find somewhere else to ride this weekend.
There's lots of old school XC riding in and around the hills on the southern side of Llangollen, ie the northern end of the Berwyns. But, as mentioned above, it involves a fair bit of self-uplift.
Yes they let none Welsh people in to Llangollen 😜
Do you want DH riding or nice trail riding ?
There is nice (cheeky) trail riding on the other side of the valley
Llandegla is up the road, good trails and good cafe, pop in there.
Shame you weren't a week or so earlier - there is a decent 'retro' bike clothing shop near the bridge opposite the town centre - he's shut the shop for winter but is on-line currently. Deggers isn't far, or you could go to one of the nice pubs, or even take a road bike for the climb of Horse shoe.

Pizza place/kebabs a few doors down is great too
There is so much riding you can do around Llangollen, there's trails around worlds end/panorama that can link up to llandegla, there's some trails from the top of the horseshoe pass that can also link up, there's trails from the other valley like the upper and lower ceiriog trail that go around the foothills of the berwyns etc. If you are there for the day and the weather is good, do the worlds end over to llandegla, plenty of vids on YouTube for these trails.
I was there last year, phoned the dude who ran Llangollen one giant leap (think I got the number from either the website or Facebook) and he let me ride them for the day - top bloke!
They're very DH focused though. There is also good local off piste enduro in the woods around there that's really.worth checking out also
