In other words, If a 125mm reverb is too tall for the rider (With the lower all the way in the frame) on its maximum extension.
is it possible to reduce the maximum travel for stumpy legs?

No you can change the amount it drops but not it's top height.

Heath robinson - tie some string /wire/flex from seat rails to the frame at required length stopping full extension

I suspect and expensive and nicer looking fix exists that does basicallly that

Don't let it extend all the way up, using your ass to stop it where you want it...?

Or swap with someone who has a 100/355. Wife could probably use a 125/380 instead.

could be a bit of a ball ache if you get that wrong...

Sell the 150, buy the 100. s/h prices are pretty good so you wont take a hugh hit if you get a fairly good deal on your 150. or do a swap?

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. Except I already have a 100mm post (shortest legs in the world - maybe!)

I've thought of two options - firstly get a mate with a lathe or similar to re-groove another location for the snapring in the main post (at the bottom). Pacing the snapring lower means the whole post will sit lower.

Or, put some sort of spacer under the main piston/seal head to limit upward extension. I've not got very far into figuring this one out yet!

either your frame is too big, or you are ET. In which case, I'm claiming a fiver.

chain or wire through the seat rails and attached to seatpost clamp

Job jobbed
Really its a simple - if not aesthetically nice- solution that is easily removed for re sell
Sure you could engineer a neater looking solution

you should be able to get a nylon spacer made up to limit the travel internally. Have had this done to limit the travel on hydraulic rams on boats before. Check for a hydraulics specialist near you and ask.
