I just upgraded to Cube Nuroad Race with Schwalbe G-one allaround tires. Super happy with the bike so far, however I am wondering is it possible to ride the bike at higher then specified tire pressure since I am 113kg and do notice the tire compressing and creating rolling resistance. The max pressure specified on the tire is 70psi. How much higher could I go relatively safely?
None. I wouldn't risk it.
I would imagine that the stated max pressure is exactly that. Have a look at this

If it were me, I'd look at fitting the biggest tyres that will fit the frame and fork.
What sort of pressure gauge are you using? Can you trust it to be accurate? The ones in my track pump and compressor are woefully inaccurate but the 3 stand alones all agree with each other to ½psi.
Probably not wise.
I did it inadvertently once while mounting a CX tyre. Was chatting to someone, didn't notice I'd gone about 20psi over the max. Was doing the shaky-shaky action to slosh the sealant around when the tyre blew off. Took an hour or so to get the feeling back in my hand and the hearing back in the nearest ear!
The people who have tried it and died won't be giving you any feedback.
No but seriously, it's not something I'd mess around with. I had a quick look at my bike, the Panaracer Gravelkings on that say up 110psi and they do those in all kinds of tred patterns.
If the G-Ones are hardly used you'll be able to sell them easily and get something that suitable.
You don't need to go over 70psi, really.
do notice the tire compressing and creating rolling resistance.
It's not creating rolling resistance as in resisting you moving forwards on an average road surface. A solid tyre rolls less efficiently than a softer one, particularly under a heavier load or on rough roads.

What's you're reasoning for saying that? The OP + bike will be near the max load for the tyre, and maybe even over on the back. Not unreasonable that it might not be feeling the best ride wise.

The spec sheet says 40c tyres, assuming a linear weight->tyre pressure, I run about 30psi in similar tyres and weigh 85kg so ~40 should be fine. 70psi in a 1.6" tyre is a lot!
I've heard tales of blowouts, never happened to me but I stick to the max. Get some new tyres?
Any recommendations on replacement tires for riding mostly on road?

The 38c variant has 100Kg max load per tyre, I'd expect ~65% ballpark of total weight on rear wheel most of the time, so plenty of leaway there while also taking bike and any bits on it like water bottles into consideration.
IIRC, the Nuroads have clearance for ~45mm wide tyres, 40c Marathon Supremes would be a safe bet for tarmac.
I fitted a new tyre to the OH's bike a week ago and for some reasons she hadn't ridden it and it kept deflating....
Yesterday, I pumped it it good and hard ... and stuck it in the bath and could see it was all over the sidewalls...
Rather than spend time slashing about I figured I'd just ride it and the first 10 miles was on road so I figured I'd leave it good and hard and let out the air before hitting some singletrack... force more sealant into gaps etc. After about 9 1/2 miles a gunshot went off ...

The OP wanted less rolling resistance!
The OP wanted less rolling resistance!
I had 9.5 miles of lower rolling resistance (possibly) 😉
I did however decide running over pressured is not good!
I also learned my pump won't go on with no valve core... (also useful) and learned / surprised myself that I actually got this back on and sealed/seated with the valve core in and a hand pump.
I also have to wonder how Aaron Gwin actually kept riding... this stopped me PQD

70psi is a fair bit in a 40mm tyre. On the rear it might be about right for the OP at 113kg if he's sat fairly upright but going noticeably higher might not be of any benefit. I find the more load on the bike the more I want the tyre deforming (not lower pressure, just accepting the squish), helps the bike roll well. But it's different if you're hitting things hard.
None. I wouldn’t risk it.
Clearly none of you have ever ridden a tandem on the road. G Ones, I'd be happy with another 10 PSI o help with rolling. Wider is nice, but there comes a point where rolling resistance needs some help. The carcass on my G One Speeds is basically the same tyre as my original Schwalbe Ones TLs.
I'd be more concerned about the wheels and rims to be honest. If they are TL ready rims that hook the bead on, fill your boots and add another 10 PSI and not worry at all.
I'm 100kg. Well was might be 95kg now. Fairly up right position. Now I know track pumps vary but in my 38c gravel king sk I'm 35psi at the back off road. 50 psi is the most i run and they seem rock solid. I'd say 70 psi seems too much. More won't be faster unless its perfect groomed tarmac. It might feel faster but that is inefficient skipping
Well they seem to have sold out of bikes
They said that after a slow start post lock down sales were their best ever
