After my 50 mile, 10,000ft of descending weekend, I think it may be time for a new rear tyre. What say, STW?

Also, I think I may have overheated my rear Deore 2 pot brake at BPW...

Maxxis Aggressor 2.5WT rear (to match the Minion DHF 2.5WT front which is practically new), or a set of Vittoria Martellos?

I’d buy a fresh one now but only put it on when the weather turns.

See that's what I was thinking, it's basically a semi-slick at the moment.

you can tell you've been braking hard in terror and not leaning it into the corners. loads of life left.

Geex would be ashamed to have that much tread on his front tyre nevermind his back tyre.

It is over a year old, 1000 miles too - was the original front tyre on my bike, swapped it to the rear when I fitted the 2.5WT minion up front.

The nobbles don't really do anything, they're a marketing gimmick. Basically a fashion accessory.

re brake overheat - quick rub down of rotor & pads with sandpaper should remove most of the glazing.

couldnt find much in the background to critique sadly  🙂

I’d just stick it on the front.

Need to clean out the moss from between the bricks

Edit: keep it for the summer and pretend its a semi slick

I would keep that on for a while longer... then again, I don't have to contend with English weather all the time.
I don't mind the rear being a bit drifty as long as the side knobs are not ripped. I find the 3c bad for this, especially in the front.
