Well were talking Veloce 8 speed retro! (more the frame rather than the reused group set etc :@)

I was thinking that, it wasted seconds of my time, shouldn't they be expected to carry a 'beware road bike content' warning. Same for single speed and fixie folk.

🙁 - well that's 2 out of 3 - majority rules 🙂

The fence is offensive, the lawn needs cutting and the steerer needs cutting 🙂

Edit - some may also not like the stem angle 😉

saddle seat post and bars all different colours?

if this was top trumps you'd have beaten 'lawn needs mowing' easily.

Charge don't make a green spoon saddle yet. And the red post was cheap and light. I will upgrade to a carbon post and bars soon. The bar tape is ace! I can be easily spoted in photos and it matches my cables.

I would win as my tubs are not glued yet. So I can't even ride them wheels.

Just noticed the spacers under the stem on that CR1 !! There's a good 50 gm to be shaved off there!
And Angus has that touring bike, but no mud guards, road traditions and fashions have been abuse on this thread something terrible.

I'm off to watch videos of Jens Voigt to cleanse my eyes.

Now looking for a good deal on wooly tights with world champ stripes on the ankle. That should complete the 50s touring look. Not much carbon around then though.

but at least it would match, what's a little discomfort when measured against a matching saddle and bar tape? Sort yourself out. 😉

If the scruffy white bar tape is aimed at me then how about the triple, two bottle cages and gps mount??!! Let alone the rider who wears baggies, mtb shoes and a small Camelbak. 😯 🙄

Cinnamon girl, while we're at it then.......you've left your dust caps on your valves and your front quick release is pointing forward. That's just asking to get opened in a bunch sprint and give some unfortunate soul a season ender of a crash!

You're dangerous bike set up could ruin a promising road season! 😆

BTW its got no decals on it - its awaiting some bespoke ones - its a Ti Prototype Frame from a well know UK bike manufacturer but I wouldn't like to mention which one 😉

What's so funny? I can say with confidence my shifting will be spot on and effortless through out the year/race

As you can see there is cable stops on the frame for a split cables but there asking for trouble.

Look at the rear that's half cabled.

Come back to me when you have a clue.

I think the problem here is that you've made your bike heavier by having un needed outer cable, not to mention the heavy burden of zip ties.

Youve got, what, 1m? of extra outer which, if youve stopped it before the BB, is utterly pointless. If you stopped it after the bb (clamp under on cable stop under front mech?) it will form a nice U shape which will invevitably fill with water, rust, and create more drag than a dirty BB cable guide.

Without it you would have bare cable all the way to the BB guide, bare cable which will never cause drag. The BB guide may cause drag, but only really if you dont use a stainless cable and it rusts (do they even make non-stainless gear cables these days?).

ANyway, the point we are making, full cable outer is great... if you run it on the TOP tube, where it actually has an effect and cant pool with water.

I have a avid water proofer thingy packed with grease. I under stand what your saying and where your coming from. BUT this has been well thought out and work really well (so far). If I could get a seat tube bolt on clamp (for front mechs) I would use one as the cable stop give a shockingly bad line and rubs the cable on the end of the stop.

Is that the VN Euros ade? I hired one whilst on holiday in Majorca, VERY nice bike.

Not enough deep carbon rims in this thread for my liking.

So here's another (now with sexy-black bar tape):

Another Devonshire road bike.

[img] [/img]

Steel tubes, carbon forks, 50/34 compact front, 9 spd 11-32 rear.
Added wrongness from Midge bars, Dura-Ace 8-spd hubs & bar-end shifters, XT mechs and pedals. Saddle bag, including keeping the spare tube outside the bag. (Bikepacking style rackless seat-bag on order for winter).

Very comfortable thanks. 😉

Compact on the front and 12-25 on the rear in 10sp flavor.

Feel free to post as many comments about the patio/wall/stones, it's not my house

Don't worry, I don't care what the masses think <3

If bikely wasn't the worst site ever, this might work.

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Two-Bridges523213

My favourite Dartmoor route at the moment, but I've only done it anticlockwise, been meaning to do it the other way. So could meet you at bovey, up hay tor, widecombe in the moor, two bridges, optional pricetown loop, moretonhampstead, and then you could cut down south just after to take you back to chudleigh, then bovey. For you, should be about ~48 miles, and I'd guess about 1400m of climbing. Very steady pace, riding to a heart rate at the moment. Wrap up warm, and go when the weathers clear. Thinking sunday would be best.

Unless you've got another loop in mind? - I'm easy 😉

Realman - yeah thats my decent training run i.e. 4+ hours 🙂 (not I am not super fast)

TBH I have done it clockwise and anti-clockwise and its best clockwise 🙂

I usually go down the valley to Chudleigh as its a nicer run than the Moreton road 🙂

Anythime is fine but yeas dry and low wind is preferable - done it in blowey and mankey weather and it s horrible out on the moor!

My first road bike in 20years, courtesy of C2W and Epic Cycles (lovely shop, lovely people as opposed to my clichey disinterested local Orbea dealer) sorting me out with an ex-display with upgraded wheels at a scheme-friendly price. The best looking bike I own, which I never thought I'd hear myself say about a darkside, but then I am a sucker for white bikes...

Read the velominati rules, but as I've only just bought a none-baggy jersey and still ride it with MTB SPDs and non-shaven legs my roadie mates see me as a partial conversion 🙂

(low res pic, godawful lawn and patio)
