I have a post mount fork.

I have an IS caliper that runs 160mm when directly mounted to an IS fork.

If I want to run a 180mm disk with the above do I need one of these;

and if I do can anyone point me at something a bit cheaper that does the same thing?

the hope version is cheaper

edit: I think the one you looked at above is to convert a IS fork to a post mount calliper

NOTE: Unfortunately not compatible with new Marzocchi Post Mounts

ah, I should have said, fork's a Bomber - didn't know that woudl be an issue 🙁

[edit] this is where I'm confused - do they always list the caliper forst or the fork fitting - doesn't seem to be any consistency and the descriptions often don't help.

sorry, have only dealt with Fox and Rockshox forks, and a brief google doesn't show up anything helpful

welcome to the world of bike 'standardisation'

perhaps you could contact Marzocchi direct?

edit:
oops, that may be just for motorcycle enquiries

It says 'new' Marzocchi post mounts, I'm just wondering how new? If it helps, I've got Shimano post mount calipers and a 180mm adaptor on a Marzocchi MZ Race post mount fork and they just bolted straight on. If you know anybody with post mount brakes, it might be worth test fitting them to your fork, if they fit they so should the adaptor in jimw's link.

bit more google tells me I need a Magura QM3 adapter. Which appears to be obsolete.

However this page http://www.a2zcomponents.com/02products_04adapter_03.html tells me I need somethign which I think wiggle have here http://www.wiggle.co.uk/a2z-adapter-pm-to-is/ based on the pictures. Wiggle conveniently reverse the nomenclature on all the A2Z adapters they list.

the shape looks right, and is much thinner material than the hope version so perhaps that is why it would fit?

Would wiggle allow a return if it didn't fit?

I had this issue a while back and after a LOT of searching and trying about 3 adaptors which claimed to do what I wanted but didn't I ended up buying a new calliper.

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear...

Edit - that Wiggle one looks like it should work - wasn't available when I wanted one!

OT: I've got IS forks and brakes and been wanting to changeto forks for a while. Didn't know I could get adapter to run the same IS brake mount! Quite glad I saw this!

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear...

I've been eyeing up the £120 Magura MT4's on Merlin if this doesn't work...

Taff - I'll post back once I'm sorted...

I can assure you this one works just fine when mounting Giant MPH IS calipers to 2008 Marz MX comp post mount forks. Just needed a tiny bit of filing...
