Can't seem to find info on the web.
The ( rubbish) pump track at Partington is accessible at any time of the day, as is the BMX ramp in Timperley. Obviously...

Equally obviously the BMX track at the velodrome is quite obviously private property and hence only accessible at certain times, upon payment.

Where does the Bruntwood track sit on that spectrum?

I'm guessing I can't just stick lights on my bike and rock up there this evening....

Can I?

As far as I can recall it’s fenced-off. Don’t know if it’s locked, but I do remember that during the first lockdown it was out-of-bounds & I can’t see how they would do that without locking it.

It has a fence around it and a gate to stop Motocross riders but yes accessible at night.

I've ridden it in the dark. It's hard work if you don't know it but quite fun.

Yippee. Many thanks all. If I may further impose:

* Is it too slippy to ride when it's wet, or ok?
* Any views on how keen the locals might be to relieve us of our bikes in the dead of night?

Open 24-7 unless there's a race on or track fettling going on.

There's no lighting.  Track is rideable in all weather conditions, tarmac berms might be greasy though.

If its sodden please don't ride it however it kills the surface, though it being open 24-7 means it's your call. This is a plea from someone who has been fixing the track for the last six years, though I've stepped away now.

There have been a few bikes nicked over the last few months, mainly school kids being relieved of their bikes, but generally okay there.

Night riding around the track is fun, best when it's snowed 🙂

Fine when wet. The berms are tarmac and the rollers hard pack.

Cheadle is not the Bronx.

You can do half laps off the top of the second berm back to the top of the first, so you can try and clear the table top!
