A very quick Q.
Is a caliper International Standard just because it's mounting bolts are parrallel to the wheel hub, or is there a bit more to it?

For it to be IS it would need to be in a certain position and the holes be a certain distance apart. But you are correct, IS bolts go across the back of the fork where as post mount go forward into the fork.
