18 months or so ago me and my daughter went off to York to collect a 24" Merida Dakar from a forum member, we stripped and upgraded it to 1*7 so a lot lighter and an alu bar and kid specific saddle. Needs pedals and will probably need cables (brake and gear)

Hello Rob. Nice to see the merida's still going strong. Great idea passing it on, it's what this place is all about👍👍

I've got some pretty light rim brake/freewheel wheels for post/collection (Woking) and probably most of a 1x8 drivechain as well if it helps.

I have an 8 ( in a fortnight) year old daughter who's outgrown her 20" bike. That looks like it would be absolutely spot on for her.
Really interested. If I can sort a way to collect it.
Thank you

Loads of bits here as well... see what might benefit changing or not. I could always ship to Sheffield but none of it is worth shipping separately.
Gave a ton away earlier this year but loads of kids stuff left. Can take a look later..

Was tier 2 yesterday.

edit - ignore my previous post it you read it.

With twins, I need two bikes the same to avoid the inevitable fighting so I'll pass and let it go to someone else.

What's the timetables?
I'll be going up Norf when I get a vehicle and as permitted... I can then go to Twisted Oaks one day soon after (Twisted Oaks would take me right past Colchester)

I've been promising a mate we'd meet there for ages.

@loum ... when do you want the bike? Assuming bikerevive can hang on no prob me picking up and dropping off when I get a working vehicle/lockdowns permit.

Indeed it will facilitate a visit to gran and ride/coffee with bikerevive and meeting a mate and his daughter and if you like a ride with us dropping off (though Jnr likely to be mad at Twisted Oaks some of the time but he will be happy messing and doing his "coaching thing" as well).
