Just building up an old inbred frame with an alfine rear hub for my winter hack and the only suspension forks i have lying around are a pair of Fox F80. I previously run F100's which are now no longer and am curious whether the travel on the 80's will feel odd for the frame

No doubt it'll feel odd @ first, with a lower front end than your used to, but the inbred was built for use with 80-100mm suspension forks so it will be fine.

I ran 80mm forks on my inbred for a while, narrow flat bar and 100mm stem too, was good for ripping through the woods or just putting the power down, bit nervous on steep stuff tho.

Donk,

Funnily enough the only bars i have knocking around are EC90 flat oversized cut very narrow with a 100mm thomson stem.

I ride at cannock chase so it should be fun. I'll shop for some risers i think.

I've got some 100's in the classifieds if you wanted to sell the 80's and buy mine 🙂
