About to buy some new tyres for my cx bike. They say 28 (continental tyres)...basically will they fit shimano rs 700 wheels?

Sized as a decimal - yes 28” x 1.1”
Sizes as a fraction - no 28” x 1 3/8”

ETRTO on a 700c wheel is 622, on a 28 fraction sized it’s 630 so another way to check.

Yes it’s pretty much the same, some baggy tyres won’t go up, but 99% of the time you’d only notice after you put in on

28 and 29 are the same, and 27 is bigger. Yay bike industry!
