I’d like to nominate the Burgtec Cloud saddle. My man parts and arse feel like they’ve been set on fire and then been put out with a bramble branch wrapped in nettles and liquified hate.

Dropout.

It needs to do the opposite.

I like mine too. It's quite sensitive to angle though.

Well, funnily enough, I have a mk 1 Bel Air RL in black and grey, very little used which I could swap for a Cloud.

Bottom bracket isn't at the bottom and isn't really a bracket.

Anyone who has required a new freewheel for a Tune Prince hub knows that they are about as far from free as you can get.

Front mech is pretty much dead centre.

Slightly OT, but why are handlebars and forks plural?

Clipless pedals have no clips, hence 'clipless'

Freehub.  Last time I wore one out, it was far from free.

Bikes have saddles, calling it a seat will set the internet on fire. But the saddle is attached to a seatpost which is inserted into a seattube.

A friend of mine has just taken up mountain biking and we went out for a ride and he was asking questions about gears. I was trying to explain about cross chaining and how he should avoid using the granny ring on the cassette with his largest chain ring on the front (he has a triple up front). He looked down at the rotor on his front wheel and said something along the lines of 'but I only have one?'

For many of us I suspect "mountain bike" (although mine's seen some ferocious bridleways).

But you still clip into clipless pedals 🙂

My spokes don't seem to have much to say for themselves.

Not technically a component, although I guess it could apply to all components,  but 'standards' really aren't
