I'm off to a wedding next summer to Co. Wicklow and was going to string it out to do some riding, maybe getting the ferry to Belfast and working my way down.

So far, I've got Castlewellan and Rostrevor trail centers, but what else is a must do?

Wicklow has some amazing trails but the best stuff is hard to find. Ballinastoe trail centre is quite good. Djouce Mountain is another great spot but not an offical trail centre. I would suggest getting one of the guides from biking.ie to show you around. It is run by Nial Davis who runs the Gravity Enduro series over there and will be hosting the Irish stage of the Enduro World Series next year.

Ballyhoura Trail Centre in Limerick is also good for more xc stuff but maybe a bit far west.

Bike Park Ireland in Roscrea is getting great reviews too (I have not been there yet) . It is half way between Limerick and Dublin/Wicklow.

Get hold of Drapper... He's a local, and is always out and about.

Loads and loads of top class biking all around Wicklow, - a lot of stuff built by riders though (the best kind of trails IMO), so could be tricky to find - Ticknock just next to Dublin city is a warren of Trails, - some official marked stuff which is pretty decent, and heaps of Enduro runs if you keep your eyes open. Chances are you will bump into a local there who can point you in the right direction.

+1 on getting in touch with biking.ie if you want to make the most of your time, - these are the guys who are behind the EWS round next year and they know what they are at.

Ballyhouras trail centre has some great new "tech" sections opened this summer, -which are more enduro than xc.

Check out Davagh forest, should definitely be on the list with Castlewellan & Rostrevor.

Bike Park Ireland is great fun - they made the absolute most out of a small hill

BallyHoura has come on a lot too - new "tech" sections and skills areas, and cheeky off pist trails built for Gravity Enduros.

Other than that, there's not much official - but loads of unofficial.
