It's a good idea and I appreciate the text is supposed to be ironic but its use is hardly going to stop the use of 'road tax' as an expression.
I'd prefer a 'It's not road tax, it's Vehicle Excise Duty! You ****ing cock!'
Which just slips off the tongue.
