Anyone got a set of these?
I really want to get a set but i'm tough on wheels and wondering whether it would be a mistake.
Anyone got any advice on it? I heard they're tough but maintenance heavy.
Ive got some Cobalts (xc) .i was worried as i mashed up my rear wheel that came with the bike ,5 months of normal riding and they are still true, i dont jet wash ,i weigh in at 110 kilo and i get a bit of air time ,i love them. They look amazing and ride well ,they flex in compression corners but hey im a lump .
Dont do it!
I heard a rumour that they're made by Crank Brothers.
If you go for it, try and get the Iodine 2's.. They made a few changes from the original ones.
Only heard tales of woe but never owned them myself. They look 8) though!
I have original iodines. Wish I didn't. Why? Rear hub is basically held together by that funny looking fork seal sping. CB thought it was a great idea to use one to keep the pawls in place.
oh, and you can pull the hub apart without tools, so the only thing keeping it as a working unit is the skewer.
Without doubt the worst purchase I have ever made.
Run! Do not look back.....
