You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I’m after some route ideas.
I live just south of fort William on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Looking for a trip - maybe 1 or 2 days - ideally not on roads.
I have all the exped gear and experience of expeds, just not on a bike.
Anyone got any suggestions?
It's only short, but nearby and you could get an overnighter out of it.
Scotroutes has done some stuff around there, here's a blog posting.
Nice part of the world - whereabouts?
You have some cracking tails there - Strontian and Corran area, although the few trails I did all had a few hundred metres of bogginess, they were great days out.
Whatever you do, don’t do the coffin route from polloch to strontian.
Scotroutes will be along with some good ideas drectly.
My mate Tom and I did this 3 Day loop back in September, some good, some not so good, some bloody awful...

As Bob says, Piemonster and I did a wee trip over there last year. Might be my favourite of the year actually.
You can also do a nice loop from Strontian over to Loch Shiel and back. Expecting a bit of pushing. And don't do the Coffin Road the wrong way round 😆
For an easier introduction you could link the Great Glen Way and the South Loch Ness Trail into a Loch Ness 360. Just start at Fort Augustus and do it anti-clockwise.
It was a swamp in both directions...
Thanks for the replies. Looks like some good options to look in to.
I live/work at the Abernethy outdoors centre not far from Kingairloch - kinda halfway between Ardgour and Strontian. So I’m aiming for a circular route I can start and finish at home.
