Always a good plan, right?

I've already been for a check at the local Drs so all ok I think. Just wondered if anyone had had a similar experience. About 4 weeks ago I went for a run (I only run semi-regularly, 3-6km) and when I got back I felt a pain in my right calf like a tweaked muscle. It felt fine about a week later when we were in Snowdonia for 3 average days hill walking. It's pretty steppy / rocky there but I didn't feel any discomfort in my leg.

Day after getting back my calf was swollen and tender, that night it was painful and the days after there was a weird tight/swollen feeling esp if walking on it for more than 100m uphill. Went to Drs, no DVT or anything according to them (no redness, just an inflated tight feeling).

It's getting better now though 90 mins gentle Z2 has it looking bigger than my other calf/shin. Goes down if I lie with my leg up for 5-10 mins.

Normal recovery from muscle strain?

Blood restricted by muscle swelling maybe?

Cat AIDS. The bad type. You are basically dead already. Sorry for your own loss.

Oh.. nasty. Shame I don't know anyone with bad enough taste in bikes to leave my bike collection to.

I had something similar. Unable to run for about four months.

One physio told me to start running fast on it which made it worse.

Another physio told me to run slowly on it, but I think in the end cycling and time fixed it.
