My new frame has two part hard plastic bungs (could be alloy); you put one each side of the hose and push into the hole (secured with allen bolt). Apart from being paranoid about dropping one of the bits in the hole where it will rattle forever and be a git to get out, it strikes me that water and dirt will get in there easily as they are not a tight fit either in the hole or around the hose. There don't seem to be any drain holes down near the BB so in time water could build up and the BB is swimming in it.
I've found rubber one piece bungs on t'interweb but not easy to judge which will fit. Size of hole is 33 mm x 10 mm, oval ends (measured to apex of oval).
Are there standard sizes for such things or manufacturer specific? Am I worrying about nothing in terms of water build up?
First time I've had a frame with internal routing...
You can forget "standards" when it comes to bikes, most of them can't even make them all the same on a single frame. If the frame's aluminium or steel, you could always drill a drain hole in the BB shell (I always do).
