Hi all
I picked up a 2021 Yari when they were going stupidly cheap a while ago
and I am looking to upgrade the MOCO damper to a Charger one, as I liked it on the Pike I had before.
Obviously the proper way is to try and find a Yari Charger 2.1 damper 00.4020.170.001 for a sensible price
However I have a older Charger 2 RC damper from my old 29er pikes and was wondering how interchangeable they were?
They are both 35mm stanchions, and it looks to be roughly the right length from the outside.
Does anyone have any input before i waste an afternoon pulling my forks apart (currently waiting on some oil and fork seals)
Thanks in advance
I don't believe it's possible to use a pike charger in a yari but I'd be interested to find out.
Been riding with one of them cheap yaris this week and the moco damper is really crap compared to the charger 2.1 in my other fork.
I'm going to possibly go for a yari up.
I think I read that the damper thread pitches are different. There is a SRAM document that goes through compatibility. For some reason I can't link to it, search on
Charger Damper Upgrade Kit - SRAM.

Yep Yari/Lyrik and Pike/Rev have different threads, so you'll need the Yari one or one out of a Lyrik. Keep an eye on PB buysell, I picked up a cheap (about 80 quid) Charger 2 for my Yari from a guy upgrading to a 2.1 on a brand new fork
Only the A1/2 Pike in none boost has a different thread pitch to a Yari/Lyrik, the newer ones are all the same.
