I've got one but I haven't cracked it. I assume you're out of warranty so would it not be worth contacting Intense about buying a new back end? If not, my second port of call would be Argos Cycles, I hear they do good things.

Given it's a known problem, Extra (Intense importer) should sort you out - they did with my Uzzi without any quibbles, after the shop that supplied it closed down.

(I assume it's gone in the usual spot down by the front mech?)

Isn't the usual spot for intense just defined as on the frame?

Be interested to hear if you have any luck with this. Found out that I've got the same problem over the weekend.

Personally I've dropped an email to the bike shop I brought it from and see what happens. Working on the princepal that I've got nothing to lose.

Dealt with Extra a few times over the last few years and they are a sound bunch of guys. Worth giving them a ring.

Can you repair heat treated aluminium frames?

Hi, emailed extrauk today will see what happens, bought it second hand so no warranty, I also emailed Intense to ask if the cnc part is also 6061 h heat trated to T6 or natural T4. You can repair them bit heat will weaken them if heat treated.

Mine did this approx. 4yrs out of warranty.

I had to go through the place I bought it, but Extra were excellent, had it back within a week.

If it's the 'known fault' i.e the rear triangle cracking on the CNC part by the bottom pivot, then it seems it doesn't matter if it's out of warranty.

They did ask to see proof of purchase though, if possible it might be worth asking the person who bought it to see if they can get it sorted...
